Our Process of Design and Marketing
Planning Phase
Specifications and Requirements:
A good solid website design project starts off with getting a clear understanding of your vision and your goals. Our task will be to capture your requirements of the project so that we can transform your vision into a well designed and functional website. Questions we may ask during the planning stages are as follows: Do you require the website to have a blog? Would you like your users to be able to login to a private area? Do you have periodic or latest news of your business that you will wantto be displayed on the home page? Do you have products that you would like users to purchase? Once we have a clear direction on the specifications, we will move to the next stage.
Sitemap:
We will now start to map out your structure and architecture of the website, this is called the sitemap. The job of the sitemap is to clearly identify the different sections, pages and navigation menus that will make up your website. Creating a complete sitemap is crutial to the project as it will guide the development phase. Your website will be the face of the business in the digital world, and it will need to reflect who you are and what your company has to offer to it’s clients, therefore a well structured sitemap is the key to navigating your site with ease.
Designing phase
Wireframe:
We will now be ready to start sketching out the general layout of your web pages, as this will be the start of the templating system we will use for the entire website. A wireframe is a simple pen and paper sketch to start placing the elements of your website. Although this seems to be so simple it is most probably the single most important stage of the project as it defines elements of the website such as the menu navigation, logo position, images, content text area and image slides. By simply sketching out these element placeholders, we start to build the foundation for a user friendly and unique website for you.
Design:
We will now move on to digitising the wireframes that we have created in the last phase, we start to introduce colour and placements of the sketched out elements. Once the elements have been placed on the page we start to really get creative and begin to design the look and feel of your new website. We now move to take your captured requirements from the planning stage, and we now start to implement the essence of your business, products and services.
Content
A website isn’t just about design. The site needs relevant content that clearly communicates your company’s story, its products, services and offerings. We also strive in developing keyword rich content to help improve the site’s search engine ranking. At this step we help you develop content or improve on the content you already have. Content production usually begins right after the sitemap has been approved.
